So I was right

Not only recently but also about something I wrote a long time ago about the number of people in prison in the US. Check it out. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7270607.stm . One interesting point this article makes is the fact that prison facilities cost so much and yet they do not produce results. Prisons themselves do not generate money. If prison was not meant to be psychological hell then why not turn them into something useful. I know this is totally a pipe dream but it would be beneficial if prisoners tended organic gardens and the goods would be sold low cost. I wonder at this point if the price of healthy food is going to go up even more due to high gas prices. People think that electric powered cars are supposed to be the cure all for our oil crisis. This notion is absolutely silly. The majority of electricity produced in the US is generated by coal burning power plants. Coal is a finite resource so that means more people will be affected by mountain top removal. With the economy in recession/depression due to high oil prices more people are going to be tempted to sell their mineral rights. Crime will increase...more people in jail...using electricity...with no money...going insane...
